What the End key does
End moves the cursor to the end of the current line, or to the bottom of a page or list. Ctrl+End jumps to the end of the document and Shift+End selects to the end of the line. In Excel, Ctrl+End goes to the last used cell.
On a Mac
Fn+Right arrow is End. Command+Right arrow goes to the end of the line, Command+Down arrow to the end of the document.
On a laptop
Press Fn with the key printed End, usually the right arrow.

If the End key is missing or not working
On laptops End needs Fn. If it still does nothing, test it below; some remote sessions remap it.
