About Filipino (Tagalog) letters

Filipino uses the standard Latin alphabet plus ñ from Spanish loanwords, and the peso sign ₱ for currency.

The Filipino layout on Windows is essentially US layout with ñ on Alt Gr+N; the peso sign is Alt Gr+P.

On a Mac, Option+N then N gives ñ. ₱ has no Mac shortcut, so copy it from here.

How to switch your keyboard to Filipino (Tagalog)

Windows

Open Settings → Time & Language → Language & region, add Filipino (Tagalog) (or open the options for your language and add the Filipino keyboard). Switch layouts with Win+Space. The current layout is shown next to the clock.

Mac

Open System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources → Edit, click +, and add US or ABC Extended. Switch with Control+Space or from the input menu in the menu bar. Turn on Show Input menu in menu bar to see which layout is active.

iPhone and iPad

Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose Filipino. Switch by holding the globe key on the keyboard.

Android

In Gboard, open Settings → Languages → Add keyboard and choose Filipino. Switch by holding the space bar or tapping the globe key.
